Angelina Jolie to Headline ASEAN Inclusive Growth Summit in Manila

Oscar-winning actress and humanitarian Angelina Jolie is among the prominent international personalities set to take part in the ASEAN Inclusive Growth Summit in Manila on November 11, bringing together influential figures from government, business, philanthropy, and civil society.

One of the summit's featured sessions will pair Jolie with Cambodian filmmaker Rithy Panh, who co-produced her film First They Killed My Father. The closing discussion will examine Cambodia and its experiences, with businesswoman Shamina Singh serving as moderator.

The program will also highlight leadership, entrepreneurship, cultural identity, and the role of creative industries in shaping Southeast Asia's future.

Broadcast journalist Rico Hizon will lead two conversations featuring prominent Filipino personalities. In the morning, he will interview award-winning actress Lea Salonga about her career and the lessons emerging artists across the region can draw from her professional journey.

The afternoon session will shift to business and entrepreneurship, with Hizon speaking to former beauty queen Kylie Verzosa about her leadership roles in Solá, a shapewear brand, and &you, a telehealth company she co-founded with her fiancé, Emil Eriksen.

Intergenerational leadership will take center stage in another discussion featuring Ayala Corporation chairman Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala and his son, Jaime Alfonso. Their panel will explore how family businesses sustain their values, transfer ownership, and prepare the next generation to assume leadership responsibilities.

The summit will also recognize Filipino artistry through a discussion featuring designers Rajo Laurel and Steffi Cua, focusing on the country's creative talent and craftsmanship.

Other notable participants include Trade Secretary Cristina Roque, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Deputy Governor Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, Ayala Foundation President Tony Lambino, and SM executive Teresita Sy-Coson.

With personalities representing entertainment, entrepreneurship, public service, and business leadership, the gathering aims to bring diverse perspectives into conversations about inclusive economic and social development across Southeast Asia.
