Katseye brought its rising global pop presence to the
Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, with Lara, Yoonchae, Megan and Daniela
performing as the group continued without leader Sophia Laforteza and member
Manon.
Dressed in pink to complement the show’s themed segment, the
four performers delivered two of Katseye’s tracks, Animal and Pinky
Up, while models walked the runway. The latter proved a fitting choice for
the fashion event, pairing the group’s energetic performance with the show’s
vibrant visual presentation.
The appearance placed Katseye among the musical acts
featured in the lingerie brand’s annual spectacle, which returned in 2024 after
a five-year break. The fashion show had been suspended in 2019 amid declining
viewership and criticism that its presentation no longer reflected changing
expectations around fashion, representation and beauty.
This year’s lineup also featured performances by Megan
Moroney, Tate McRae and Megan Thee Stallion. Several familiar faces from the
Victoria’s Secret runway returned, including Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio,
Candice Swanepoel, Behati Prinsloo, Jasmine Tookes and Barbara Palvin.
Palvin’s appearance came shortly after she and actor Dylan
Sprouse welcomed their daughter, Sylvie, adding another personal milestone to
the model’s recent public life.
The event also drew Filipino representation through Catriona
Gray, the country’s Miss Universe 2018 titleholder, who attended as a special
guest.
For Katseye, however, the performance came amid an ongoing
period of reduced group membership. Sophia, the Filipino leader, is taking a
break for mental health reasons and is expected to return to group activities
next year. Manon has also been on hiatus since earlier this year.
The four-member appearance highlighted Katseye’s ability to continue performing on a major international stage despite the temporary absences. The group’s participation also reflects the growing crossover between global pop acts and high-profile fashion events, where live music has become an integral part of the runway experience.
