Jollibee Targets Hong Kong Listing for International Business in 2027

Jollibee Foods Corp. is targeting the third quarter of 2027 for the proposed Hong Kong listing of its international business, marking a major step in the Philippine restaurant group's strategy to expand its global presence and unlock value from its overseas operations.

Global President and CEO Ernesto Tanmantiong said the company is working toward the planned listing of Jollibee Foods Corp. International (JFCI), which will house the group's businesses outside the Philippines. The proposed transaction will take place on the main board of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Ltd., replacing an earlier plan to pursue a US listing.

The decision reflects Jollibee's assessment of which financial market would best support JFCI's business model, geographic reach and long-term growth objectives. Hong Kong offers access to regional and international investors, while providing a market familiar with many of the group's brands and their established presence across Asia.

The listing could also strengthen JFCI's ability to pursue opportunities beyond its existing markets, particularly in North America. By establishing a separate publicly listed entity for its international operations, Jollibee aims to give investors a clearer view of its overseas business and its potential for further expansion.

Tanmantiong described the planned transaction as part of a broader effort to bring the company's successful domestic and regional business model to a wider global audience. He emphasized that international expansion represents the beginning of another phase of growth rather than the culmination of the company's global ambitions.

Under the proposed corporate structure, JFCI will oversee the group's international operations, while Jollibee Foods Corp. will retain its listing on the Philippine Stock Exchange and focus on its domestic businesses. The separation is intended to distinguish the performance and growth prospects of the Philippine and international operations.

Hong Kong's established investment community and its familiarity with Asian consumer brands were key considerations in selecting the proposed listing venue. The company believes the market can better recognize JFCI's distinct business profile and growth opportunities while supporting its ambitions across multiple regions.

The planned listing comes as Jollibee continues to build its position in the global restaurant industry. The group operates a portfolio of 20 brands, with more than 10,700 stores and cafés across 33 countries, giving it a substantial international footprint from which to pursue further growth.

If completed as targeted, the Hong Kong listing would represent a significant milestone in Jollibee's corporate strategy, separating its international business into a dedicated investment proposition while allowing its Philippine operations to remain independently represented on the local stock market.
