Bona and Park Seo-ham Headline New Fantasy Romance K-Drama Dive Into You

Upcoming Korean fantasy romance series Dive Into You is positioning itself as a high-concept drama built around identity, loss, and second chances. Fronting the project are Bona and Park Seo-ham, two performers whose careers continue to expand beyond their idol roots into mainstream acting.

The series centers on Yoon Ha-na, a celebrated actress whose life abruptly changes after a mysterious accident causes her to exchange souls with her twin brother. The incident becomes more than a supernatural twist. It opens a path back in time, giving her an opportunity to alter the fate of the man she once loved and lost. Rather than relying solely on fantasy spectacle, the drama appears designed around emotional consequences and personal redemption.

Bona takes on the role of Ha-na, a public figure forced to navigate unfamiliar realities while concealing her true identity. Opposite her is Park Seo-ham as Jung Woo-jae, a former judo athlete who transitions into work as a bodyguard. His character is expected to anchor the story with a more grounded perspective amid the time-travel and body-swap chaos.

The supporting cast adds another layer to the narrative structure. Jang Se-hyuk portrays Ha-na’s twin brother Yoon Ha-ru, himself a judo competitor, while Moon Seung-you appears as Son Ye-rang, the girlfriend of Ha-ru and the CEO of Ha-na’s management agency. That setup creates overlapping personal and professional tensions that could become central to the series’ momentum.

Produced jointly by Dexter Pictures and Amuse Entertainment Korea, the drama is currently in production and scheduled for release through Rakuten Viki. The platform continues to strengthen its position in the global Korean drama market by investing in genre combinations that appeal to international audiences. Fantasy romance remains one of the industry’s most commercially reliable formats, particularly when paired with recognizable stars and emotionally driven storytelling.

For Bona, the project further solidifies her transition into a leading actress. While she initially gained prominence as a member of WJSN, her acting résumé has steadily expanded through projects such as Twenty-Five Twenty-One, Pyramid Game, Joseon Attorney, Girls’ Generation 1979, Your House Helper, and The Haunted Palace. Her recent roles demonstrate a preference for emotionally layered characters rather than conventional romantic leads.

Park Seo-ham follows a similar trajectory. Formerly part of the K-pop group KNK, he gained widespread attention through Semantic Error, a series that significantly elevated his profile in the Korean entertainment industry. Subsequent appearances in The Murky Stream and Our Universe reinforced his growing reputation as a dependable leading man capable of balancing charisma with restrained emotional performances.

What distinguishes Dive Into You from standard romantic comedies is its structural premise. Soul-swapping stories often function as comedic devices, but when combined with time reversal and unresolved grief, the concept can become a study of identity and regret. The drama essentially asks whether changing one pivotal moment can truly repair emotional damage, or whether people remain trapped by the same choices regardless of circumstance.

That thematic direction could give the series broader appeal beyond typical romance viewers. Audiences increasingly respond to Korean dramas that blend fantasy mechanics with psychologically driven storytelling rather than relying on formula alone. If executed effectively, Dive Into You may emerge as one of the more closely watched genre releases during its eventual debut window.
