More than a year after ending her long-term relationship with fellow Kapuso actor Jak Roberto, Barbie Forteza has made one thing unmistakably clear. She is not searching for a new romance. Instead, the award-winning actress has chosen to dedicate this chapter of her life to personal growth, her flourishing career, and the people closest to her.

Following the public announcement of their breakup in January 2025, Forteza confirmed that she remains single and is in no hurry to change that. Rather than pursuing another relationship out of loneliness or expectation, she believes love should arrive only when the timing and the person are both right.

The Kapuso star explained that her current priority is investing the affection and energy she once shared with others back into herself. She sees this period as an opportunity to strengthen her emotional well-being while continuing to build her career and spend meaningful time with her family.

Her outlook on dating has also remained consistent. Forteza revealed that casual relationships have never appealed to her. She approaches romance with a long-term mindset, believing that dating should have a clear purpose instead of being driven by temporary excitement. Although she is not actively seeking romance today, Forteza admitted she still has a vision for her future wedding. During an earlier media conference for the film, she shared that she dreams of getting married in Las Vegas while wearing a Vera Wang gown, adding a humorous remark about the location's divorce laws that drew laughter from those in attendance.

For now, however, marriage remains a future goal rather than an immediate plan. Forteza is embracing the present by focusing on self-improvement and waiting until she is completely certain before opening her heart again, reinforcing her belief that lasting love is worth waiting for.
