Social media speculation surrounding Kim Chiu's alleged
pregnancy has drawn a firm response from her It's Showtime co-host, Cianne
Dominguez, who directly challenged claims spreading across TikTok.
The rumors emerged after a video showing Kim stepping out of
a vehicle went viral. Online commenters focused on her midsection, with several
users claiming they noticed what they believed to be a baby bump. As often
happens on social media, assumptions quickly gained momentum despite the
absence of any confirmation from the actress.
One comment stood out after a user claiming to be a nurse
insisted Kim appeared pregnant and jokingly declared they would surrender their
professional license if proven wrong. Dominguez wasted no time responding,
bluntly telling the commenter to hand over the license because the claim was
false.
The exchange did not end there. Another user suggested
Dominguez might not know the truth about Kim's situation, prompting the
television host to question whether Kim had personally shared such information
with that individual. When another commenter argued that Dominguez was not
close enough to Kim to know, she countered by asking if the person regularly
spent time with them, reinforcing that outsiders should not presume to know the
nature of their friendship.
The incident underscores a growing concern over how quickly
personal assumptions can evolve into viral narratives. A single camera angle,
lighting condition, or body posture can easily fuel misleading conclusions
online. Physical appearance alone is not evidence of pregnancy, yet speculation
often spreads faster than verified information.
Kim Chiu has not publicly commented on the circulating
rumors. Her attention has instead remained on an ongoing legal dispute
involving her sister, Lakambini. Earlier this year, Star Magic confirmed that
the actress intends to continue pursuing the qualified theft case she filed
after allegedly discovering significant financial irregularities linked to
their business operations. The complaint was initially filed in December.
Until Kim herself addresses the issue, the pregnancy claims remain unverified, while Dominguez's public responses have served as a direct rebuttal to the unfounded speculation circulating across social media.
