One Piece Run PH 2026 Brings Elbaph Arc Adventure to SM Mall of Asia

The world of One Piece is set to take over the SM Mall of Asia Complex once again as the One Piece Run PH returns on September 26, 2026, promising a larger celebration for fans, runners, and members of the Straw Hat community.

Following the success of its inaugural edition, which attracted around 8,000 participants, this year’s event is expected to draw an even bigger crowd. The expanded race will place participants in an immersive setting inspired by the Elbaph Arc, adding a new dimension to a running event that blends fitness with anime fandom.

Organized by SM North EDSA and RUNRIO in partnership with Toei Animation, the event is part of SM Fandom, with Funko serving as the official sponsor. Runners can choose from four categories: 10K, 5K, 3K, and 1K, making the event accessible to both seasoned runners and casual participants.

The growth of One Piece Run PH reflects the strength of anime fandom in the Philippines. Rather than simply putting a familiar franchise on a race shirt, the event turns the race venue into a shared experience where fans can celebrate the characters, themes, and friendships that have made One Piece a global phenomenon.

This year’s run also forms part of the fourth edition of SM North EDSA’s Animezing North. The annual celebration brings the One Piece universe closer to Filipino fans through large-scale installations, themed photo areas, exclusive merchandise, giveaways, character experiences, and other activities tied to the series.

The Elbaph Arc is expected to be one of the major highlights, giving attendees another reason to explore the festivities beyond the race itself.

For participants, the experience does not end at the finish line. Finishers will receive a special One Piece-themed medal along with a Straw Hat Pirates Jolly Roger finisher’s towel. These collectibles provide a lasting reminder of the event and its connection to the adventurous spirit embodied by Monkey D. Luffy and his crew.

RUNRIO general manager Andrew Neri said the strong response to last year’s inaugural run prompted organizers to bring the event to a larger stage. SM North EDSA assistant mall manager for mall operations Michael Vincent Uy likewise highlighted the event’s role in bringing Nakamas together through the shared values of friendship and adventure.

With running at its core but anime culture driving its identity, One Piece Run PH 2026 is positioned to become one of the country’s standout themed races of the year. Its combination of athletic participation, immersive entertainment, exclusive collectibles, and a passionate fan community gives the event an appeal that extends well beyond the finish line.
