SB19's Landmark Lollapalooza Performance Reaches a Global
Audience Through Disney+
Filipino music continues to gain international recognition
as SB19 secures another historic milestone. The P-pop powerhouse has been
confirmed as one of the featured performers in Disney+'s official livestream
coverage of Lollapalooza 2026, placing the group alongside some of the
world's biggest music artists during one of the most celebrated festivals in
the United States.
Disney+ previously revealed that it would stream both Bonnaroo
and Lollapalooza for the first time, giving subscribers unprecedented
access to two of America's most iconic music festivals. While Bonnaroo
concluded in June, anticipation is now shifting to Chicago, where Lollapalooza
returns next week with a star-studded lineup.
For SB19, the appearance represents far more than another
overseas performance. The group will become the first Filipino act to
perform at Lollapalooza, marking a defining achievement for the country's
modern music industry. Their set will take place on the prestigious Allianz
Stage, formerly known as the Lakeshore Stage, a venue recognized as one of
the festival's primary performance spaces that regularly hosts internationally
acclaimed artists.
Their scheduled performance runs from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30
p.m. Chicago time, translating to 4:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. on July 31 in
the Philippines. During the same time slot, festivalgoers will also have
performances from electronic acts MPH and Ninajirachi, country
artist Elizabeth Nichols, indie pop duo Between Friends, and
singer-songwriter Paris Paloma across other stages.
Disney+ will stream festival highlights from July 31
through August 3 in the Philippines, beginning at 3:45 a.m. each day.
Subscribers can also watch performances from an impressive roster of
international stars, including Charli XCX, Tate McRae, Lorde,
Olivia Dean, John Summit, Jennie of BLACKPINK, The
Smashing Pumpkins, and The xx.
The livestream schedule also features a wide variety of
artists spanning multiple genres. Fans can look forward to performances by aespa,
The Chainsmokers, 5 Seconds of Summer, Zara Larsson, Leon
Thomas, Sombr, Ethel Cain, Suki Waterhouse, Major
Lazer, YOASOBI, JADE, Wolf Alice, Wet Leg, I-dle,
Mustard, Lil Uzi Vert, and Filipino-British singer Beabadoobee.
SB19's inclusion reflects the growing influence of Filipino artists on the international stage. Securing a place at a globally recognized festival is comparable to earning a seat at one of music's biggest tables, where exposure extends well beyond the live audience. Through Disney+'s worldwide streaming platform, millions of viewers will have the opportunity to witness a milestone that highlights the expanding reach of P-pop and the increasing presence of Filipino talent in the global entertainment industry.
