PSYCHIC FEVER Eyes Philippines as World Tour Plans Advance Alongside New Album DIFFERENT

PSYCHIC FEVER Sets Sights on the Philippines as Global Expansion Gains Momentum

Japanese boy group PSYCHIC FEVER is intensifying its international ambitions, with the Philippines emerging as one of the destinations the members are most eager to visit. Although the seven-member act has yet to perform in the country as a complete group, the artists revealed that meeting their Filipino supporters and staging a dedicated event remain among their top priorities as preparations for an upcoming world tour continue.

The group, composed of TSURUGI, RYOGA NAKANISHI, REN WATANABE, JIMMY, KOKORO KOHATSU, RYUSHIN HANDA, and WEESA, confirmed during an exclusive Zoom interview promoting their latest album, DIFFERENT, that plans for a global tour are already underway. While the official itinerary has not yet been unveiled, the members indicated that announcements regarding dates and destinations will be made in the near future.

Among the strongest motivations behind their planned visit is the opportunity to finally interact with Filipino fans face to face. The members acknowledged that, despite receiving enthusiastic support from the Philippines over the years, they have not yet experienced performing there together as a complete unit. They encouraged fans to continue supporting their music and videos while waiting for the group's long anticipated arrival.

The excitement surrounding a Philippine visit has also been fueled by KOKORO's previous trip to the country. His firsthand experience gave the rest of the members a glimpse of the passionate reception they could expect from local audiences. According to RYUSHIN, watching footage from KOKORO's visit highlighted the remarkable enthusiasm of Filipino supporters and strengthened the group's desire to perform live, organize fan events, and create memorable experiences in the country.

KOKORO already shares a meaningful connection with Filipino listeners through his collaboration with the band Lola Amour on the track The Moment. Although the recording process was completed remotely, he described the project as both refreshing and creatively rewarding because it introduced him to a musical style that differed from PSYCHIC FEVER's usual sound.

His relationship with the Philippines extended beyond the recording studio. During his visit, KOKORO met the members of Lola Amour in person, performed before a Filipino audience, and immersed himself in the local culture. He recalled being warmly welcomed by the band and expressed his appreciation for Filipino cuisine, adding that he hopes to enjoy it again on a future visit.

The group's growing interest in the Philippine market aligns with its broader strategy of expanding beyond Japan. Over the past several years, PSYCHIC FEVER has steadily established a stronger international profile through performances at major events and overseas appearances. Their achievements include a successful first United States tour, headlining SXSW Austin in 2025, consecutive appearances at Music Matters Live in Singapore, performances at SXSW Sydney and CreatorWeek in Macau, as well as receiving the Next Generation Global Award at the 2022 GENIE MUSIC AWARDS and the Asia Rising Star Award at Thailand's Digital Awards in the same year.

These international experiences have significantly influenced the direction of the group's newest album, DIFFERENT. Rather than serving as simply another collection of songs, the album represents the members' artistic evolution after engaging with audiences from diverse cultures around the world.

RYOGA explained that the album features ten entirely new tracks and that its title symbolizes how differences have become one of the group's greatest strengths. Exposure to various countries, cultures, and audiences allowed the members to recognize that individuality is not a limitation but an advantage. Much like distinct instruments contributing unique sounds to an orchestra, each member's identity helps create a richer and more complete musical experience.

That philosophy also reflects the group's broader artistic development since releasing its debut album, P.C.F., in 2022. According to TSURUGI, the members have become increasingly committed to expressing their individual personalities, backgrounds, and identities through both their music and live performances. Their evolution is no longer measured solely by technical skill or choreography but by their ability to authentically communicate who they are as artists.

Leading the album is If You're Mine, an emotionally driven track inspired by UK garage music. Combining upbeat production with heartfelt emotion, the single has generated strong global interest, approaching three million views following its worldwide premiere on July 10.

With a world tour announcement on the horizon, PSYCHIC FEVER continues to strengthen its presence across international markets. For Filipino fans, the group's repeated expressions of interest suggest that a long awaited visit may soon become a reality as the band's global journey enters its next chapter.
