Thai entertainment icons Nadech Kugimiya and Yaya Sperbund
marked another unforgettable chapter in their love story by celebrating their
third wedding ceremony in Bangkok over the weekend, bringing together family
members and close friends for an intimate occasion that reflected the couple's
unique journey.
Rather than limiting their marriage celebration to a single
event, the beloved actors have embraced multiple ceremonies that honor the
different cultures and traditions that have shaped their lives. Their latest
wedding in Thailand's capital highlighted the importance of family, heritage,
and meaningful personal connections.
Images and videos from the celebration quickly circulated on
social media on Saturday, July 18, after relatives and celebrity guests shared
glimpses of the festivities. Among those posting memorable moments was Nadech's
mother, Keaw Sudarat Kugimiya, who uploaded photos from the occasion on
Instagram.
One of the most touching moments of the ceremony was the
attendance of Nadech's adoptive father, Yoshio Kugimiya. His presence added
emotional significance to the celebration, underscoring the strong family bonds
that have supported the couple throughout their relationship.
The Bangkok ceremony followed two earlier weddings that
reflected the couple's multicultural background. Their first marriage
celebration took place on April 17 in Khon Kaen, Nadech's home province, where
they observed a traditional Thai wedding steeped in local customs and cultural
symbolism.
A little over a month later, on May 22, the newlyweds
exchanged vows once again during a contemporary ceremony in Oslo, Norway. That
celebration paid tribute to Yaya Sperbund's Norwegian heritage, allowing both
families to participate in a setting closely connected to her roots.
After spending more than a decade together, Nadech and Yaya officially became husband and wife earlier this year. Their decision to hold three distinct ceremonies demonstrates how modern couples can celebrate love while embracing the traditions, identities, and families that define their lives. Instead of viewing a wedding as a single milestone, the pair transformed it into a series of meaningful celebrations that honored every important part of their shared story.
