BINI to Receive Global Force Award at Billboard Women in Music 2026, Presented by Cara Delevingne

 

Filipino pop continues to strengthen its global footprint as P-pop sensation BINI secures another major international milestone, this time at Billboard’s prestigious Women in Music Awards.

The eight-member girl group has been named one of the recipients of the Global Force Award for the 2026 Billboard Women in Music ceremony, a recognition reserved for artists whose influence extends beyond borders and contributes meaningfully to the evolving music landscape. Presenting the honor to the group will be model and actress Cara Delevingne, adding another layer of international visibility to the moment.

The annual Billboard Women in Music event is designed to celebrate women shaping the music industry through leadership, artistry, and cultural impact. It recognizes those who not only succeed commercially but also help open doors for the next generation of performers, executives, and creatives.

For BINI, the recognition follows one of the most defining moments in the group’s career: their historic appearance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Their performance marked the first time a Filipino girl group had ever taken the stage at the globally watched festival, a breakthrough that placed P-pop in front of a wider international audience.

That appearance was more than a festival booking. It signaled a shift in how Southeast Asian acts, particularly from the Philippines, are being seen in global entertainment spaces. Much like how K-pop once moved from regional success to worldwide dominance, P-pop is now beginning to carve out its own path, and BINI stands at the center of that movement.

Joining them in receiving the same distinction is Filipino-American content creator and music personality Bella Poarch, further highlighting Filipino representation on this year’s international stage.

Billboard also revealed a strong lineup of presenters for the ceremony, including Brandi Carlile, Ciara, Coco Jones, Dionne Warwick, Eva Longoria, Victoria Monét, Kim Petras, Lainey Wilson, and Tyla.

Meanwhile, the evening’s highest distinction, Woman of the Year, will be awarded to Huntr/x, the vocal trio behind the breakout project “KPop Demon Hunters,” composed of EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami.

BINI’s achievement also follows a strong Filipino presence in last year’s ceremony, when Sarah Geronimo received the Global Force Award in 2024. Her acceptance speech ended with a message of courage and hope delivered in Filipino, a reminder that local identity remains powerful even on international stages.

This year, BINI continues that narrative. Their recognition is not simply about one award, but about a wider cultural statement: Filipino artists are no longer waiting for a seat at the table. They are already on the stage.
