Canadian twin musicians Bob Moffatt and Clint Moffatt are returning to the Philippines under their acoustic brand Music Travel Love, staging two arena shows that underscore the durability of their career and the loyalty of their regional audience.
The duo will perform on June 27 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino before heading to the New Frontier Theater on June 28. Both concerts begin at 8 p.m., positioning the back to back dates as a focused two city run aimed at major urban markets.
Long before the Music Travel Love brand emerged, the twins built their reputation as core members of The Moffatts alongside brothers Scott and Dave. Their early signing with Polydor Records marked a historic milestone, making the group the youngest band to secure a major label contract at the time. That early industry validation translated into commercial scale. The band went on to sell more than seven million records worldwide, earning Gold and Platinum certifications across more than 30 countries.
Their traction in Asia proved especially significant. The Moffatts mounted major concerts in China and Vietnam and set album sales benchmarks for international acts in several Southeast Asian territories, including the Philippines. In practical terms, they did not simply tour the region. They embedded themselves in it, building a multi decade fan base that now sustains their current projects.
Music Travel Love represents an evolution rather than a reinvention. The concept began as a series of travel based performance videos where the twins recorded original material and acoustic covers in visually distinctive locations around the world. The format blends stripped down musicianship with destination storytelling, turning each performance into both a concert and a postcard. It is a model aligned with digital consumption habits, where audiences expect intimacy and authenticity over large scale production.
Their Philippine engagement extends beyond streaming metrics. In previous visits, the duo collaborated with local artists such as Bugoy Drilon, Anthony Uy, and Francis Greg, reinforcing their connection to the domestic music community rather than remaining a purely visiting act.
Ticket sales open March 4 at noon through SM Tickets and TicketNet outlets and websites. In Cebu, prices range from P850 to P4,790, with reserved seating available only in the top three tiers. In Quezon City, all seats are reserved, with rates spanning P3,180 to P6,095.
Taken together, the two night engagement signals more than a nostalgic return. It reflects a calculated continuation of a career that has moved from teen pop stardom to globally distributed acoustic storytelling, sustained by disciplined touring and a consistent relationship with Asian audiences.
